Covid shook the world upside down, and museums and galleries worldwide were challenged with finding new ways to engage audiences. Our response, Art Crush.

Funded by the Arts Council and Sunderland Culture, we designed and developed the app to make art more accessible and to promote every corner of the 800 artworks held in the Arts Council Collection.

Art Crush is centered around a simple and familiar concept - swipe left to like and right to dislike. We used this mechanic to create Art personalities for the people that interact with the app. Swiping left or right on particular artworks determines your art personality as well as tailoring the entire user experience.
